As one that is deeply entrenched in the Internet Marketing field I make it my business to ensure I stay informed in regards to those things that are new and interesting online.

I share with my subscribers items that may appeal to their interests but in recent times…I have found some marketing practises used by some online to be of a standard that borders on unacceptable.

There are numerous different issues that are of concern to me but I will describe one that comes close to the top of the list.

I know the following is a common practise these days but I have had enough…I’m sure you have experienced it, you receive an email touting some product or another to be closely followed by another apologising that they provided the wrong link (Don’t they check their emails before sending them out?) or another one is a classic, we have experienced so much traffic our server went down but all is OK now!

We all accept that things can wrong from time to time but when you receive several “different” (Product or Service) emails over the course of a day or two from the same marketer each followed by an apology message you have to start to wonder!

It may be deemed acceptable in some circles but I am not going to let it become a further annoyance to me…

So I today set about unsubscribing from several newsletters and lists in an effort to reduce the amount of “duplicate” material flooding my inbox.

It will be interesting to see how long I can keep it “clean” from this kind of abuse, not long I bet!
